McCabe Introduces ICD-10 Edition of Award Winning Source Code Analysis Solution
McCabe IQ Helps Verify Conversion Before Crucial Deadline

Cranston, RI - McCabe Software has announced the release of their healthcare industry focused software solution, ‘McCabe IQ ICD-10 Edition’. McCabe solutions have been used to uncover hidden risk in software across all industries for over 30 years. Now McCabe has targeted the healthcare industry to help payers and providers precisely target their ICD-10 conversion and testing efforts.

McCabe IQ ICD-10 Edition identifies ICD data locations, and impacted paths through the source code. It also helps to make sure that tests exist to cover ICD data locations and verifies that the remediated code has been thoroughly tested. The solution is very similar to the technology that McCabe deployed to successfully mitigate the Y2K issue of the late 1990’s.

Known as the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition, ICD-10 has over 68,000 diagnostic codes for procedures and diagnoses that improve the information available for quality improvement and payment purposes. There were only 13,000 such codes included in ICD-9. ICD-10 also introduces alphanumeric category classifications into the classification. Healthcare providers and payers have only until the already extended deadline to comply with the new classification.
